Ice Cricket Tournaments and the Ice Cricket World Cup in Estonia

After the massive success of our Ice Cricket Tournaments in Estonia in 2007 we are already taking bookings for 2008 so get a squad of 10 or a team of 6 together and enter one of our brilliant ice cricket tournaments.

Ice What...?

Yep... Ice Cricket ! From late January to late March each year, cricket teams from the UK, Estonia and all over the world arrive in Tallinn, Estonia’s beautiful capital city, to play Real Ice Cricket on the frozen ice covering Lake Harku or even in an old Soviet Missile Factory on two ice rinks. The wicket is painstakingly carved out of the ice, the boundary marked out to keep bemused locals off the pitch and you use a windball to stop the ball freezing up.

It's best to bring cricket spikes to give you as much grip as possible but whatever you wear you'll end up looking like Bambi on Ice at some point during the day. Our tournaments are a great way to play social cricket with a difference, in one of the most amazing cities in Europe. At Tours 4 Sport, we work with the Estonian National Cricket Association to ensure that all of our ice cricket tours run smoothly and everyone has a brilliant time in the spirit of cricket.

Where can i play?

Tallinn is the medieval capital city of Estonia and the home of Ice Cricket. Matches are played on the frozen lake Harku, the Baltic Sea or even in an old Soviet Missile Factory on two ice rinks depending on the weather. We use a great range of hotels that are right in the medieval Old town of Tallinn, very close to the bars and clubs like Stereo bar, Nimeta sports bar, Hollywoods Nightclub and more.
